KARACHI, May 3 - Following is a list of events in Pakistan as well as news stories and press reports which may influence financial markets.

* State Bank of Pakistan to sell 75.0 billion rupees worth of 3-, 6- and 12-month treasury bills on Wednesday.
MARKET SNAPSHOTS
* The Pakistani rupee <PKR=> firmed against the dollar on Friday to close at 83.95/84.00 to the dollar, up from Thursday's close of 84.00/84.05, amid soft demand from importers. [PKR/]
* The Karachi Stock Exchange's benchmark 100-share index <.KSE> ended 0.25 percent, or 26.51 points, lower at 10,428.12 on turnover of 96.88 million shares.
* The net outflow of foreign portfolio investment in the stock market was $710,949 million on Friday.

* U.S. stocks tumbled on Friday to close out the worst week since January as news of a criminal probe into Goldman Sachs unnerved investors already anxious about the prospects for heavy regulation from Washington.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> fell 158.71 points, or 1.42 percent, to 11,008.61. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> lost 20.09 points, or 1.66 percent, to 1,186.69. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> dropped 50.73 points, or 2.02 percent, to 2,461.19. [.N]
* Oil prices rose above $86 a barrel in thin trade on Monday as a record bailout for debt-stricken Greece lifted investor risk appetite and hopes for a drawdown in U.S. crude stocks also lent support.
U.S. crude for June delivery <CLc1> rose 39 cents to $86.54 a barrel by 0104 GMT. London Brent crude <LCOc1> edged up 17 cents to $87.61. [O/R]
* Gold was slightly weaker in early trading on Monday after rising to a fresh 2010 high on Friday on news Greece will require a massive financial bailout package to stay afloat.
Spot gold <XAU=> was quoted at $1,177.90 an ounce at 0041 GMT after hitting a high of $1,181.05 an ounce on Friday before recoiling to a nominal close of $1,178.55 an ounce. [GOL/]
