NEW YORK (Reuters) - Ivana Trump, ex-wife of property mogul Donald Trump, said on Monday she split from her fourth husband three months ago but kept it quiet to avoid ruining his chances on the Italian version of "Survivor."
After dating for about six years, Trump, 59, married Rossano Rubicondi, 36, in a lavish ceremony in April at Donald Trump's Palm Beach, Florida, estate.
Donald Trump, star of "The Apprentice" TV show, has three children with Ivana Trump.
"I filed a legal separation agreement three months ago," she said in a statement. "I kept quiet about the agreement as I didn't want to spoil his chances of winning the TV show."
Rubicondi has been in Honduras competing in the Italian celebrity version of "Survivor," in which contestants compete in various challenges.
But Trump wrote in her New York Post column on November 9 that he had been eliminated amid reports, which she denied, that he had cheated on her with another contestant.
Trump blamed the split on the couple wanting to live in different cities, saying in her statement: "Que sera sera!" (Whatever will be, will be!)
