Travelers Rest, SC, United States (AHN) - Two South Carolina girls are facing serious charges after leaving a suspicious package on a Travelers Rest resident’s porch, according to authorities.

Greenville County deputies were dispatched to the residence Tuesday after the owner discovered a cardboard box on his front porch.

Writing on the box warned the resident that the box will self-destruct in 10 minutes.

Bomb experts opened the box and found an inflated balloon inside with the words “enjoy” and “ha ha” written on it.

Authorities said two girls, 11 and 12, were charged with conveyance of an explosive device, which is a felony charge.

The girls will be released to their parents and referred to family court, reports stated.
