Wild Oats XI wins Sydney-Hobart race

HOBART, Australia (AFP) - - Australian maxi yacht Wild Oats XI won the Sydney to Hobart yacht race here Sunday.
Wild Oats XI captured line honours for a record fourth consecutive year in the 64th blue water classic.
The 30-metre maxi crossed the finishing line in the Tasmanian capital at 9:34 am (2234 GMT), but was outside the record race time.
Wild Oats XI completed the 628-nautical mile race down the Australian eastern seaboard in an unofficial time of one day 20 hours and 34 minutes.
Wild Oats XI set the race record of one day 18 hours 40 minutes 10 seconds set in its 2005 win.
