Whitehall, OH, United States (AHN) - Only about $13,000 out of the $100,000 cash that fell from an armored truck in Ohio Wednesday has been returned prompting Whitehall police to warn those who fail to return the money that they will face criminal charges.
Police are searching for others who grabbed part of the $100,000 cash that spilled at the intersection of Broad Street and Hamilton Road. The cash was contained inside a bag that ripped open upon falling onto the ground.
The police are tracking down people who grabbed some of the money through surveillance camera video and photos taken from cellular phones.
People jumped out of their cars Wednesday when they saw the cash blowing down the street. Others picked up the cash and turned it into the police.
