Costa Rican president to visit Singapore

SINGAPORE: Costa Rican President Oscar Arias Sanchez will be making an official visit to Singapore from December 1 to 5.
According to a statement from Singapore’s Foreign Ministry, Mr Arias will be accompanied by Costa Rican Foreign Affairs Minister, Bruno Stagno Ugarte, National Planning and Economic Policy Minister, Roberto J. Gallardo Nunez and other officials.
During the visit, Mr Arias will call on Singapore President S.R. Nathan and meet with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Mr Arias will also deliver a public lecture titled, "Peace with Nature: A Costa Rican Green Initiative" as part of Singapore’s Institute of Policy Studies Nobel Laureate Lecture series.
He will also meet with Singapore businesses and visit several agencies, including PSA International, Economic Development Board and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research. — CNA/de
