Filming on the new season of the adventures of the school girl, who secretly is a pop star by night, will begin in early 2010, the industry insider Variety magazine said.
Cyrus, 16, has become the idol of young girls everywhere with her role as Hannah Montana, and the series has become a lucrative money-spinner for Disney with all the marketing spinoffs.
"Hannah Montana: The Movie," the film version of the popular Disney TV series, raked in 34 million dollars on its opening weekend in April.
And Cyrus has played to packed concert halls with desperate parents paying astronomical sums to scalpers for tickets for their children.
Thanks to the success of the show Cyrus, daughter of 1990s pop star Billy Ray Cyrus who plays her father in the TV show, has joined the list of young actors who are now millionaires.
