Burbank, CA, United States (AHN) - One reality television name is making the leap from contestant to host.

Melissa Rycroft, competitor in such fare as “The Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars,” will be hosting a new reality series on ABC. The show should be familiar territory for Rycroft, as it takes off from where the original series to bring her to prominence began.

“Bachelor Pad,” produced by the team responsible for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” will bring back the most popular men of the franchise. 19 of them will live together, compete in various challenges and work toward a grand prize of $250,000 and another shot at finding their soul mate.

The concept is a familiar one for Rycroft, who won the 13th season of “The Bachelor” along with the heart of Jason Mesnick, only to have him break up with her on “After the Final Rose” for runner-up Molly Malaney. The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader went on to place third in “Dancing with the Stars,” later working as a special contributor for “Good Morning America” before marrying her former boyfriend in December 2009.

“Bachelor Pad,” which Rycroft will host alongside Chris Harrison, will air its premiere episode August 9.
