Seoul shares open 1.5 pct higher; banks lead

SEOUL, Dec 3 - Seoul shares opened higher on Wednesday after a firm finish on Wall Street overnight, with financials leading gains after their U.S. peers' sharp rally, while auto issues rose despite dismal November U.S. sales.
Kia Motors <000270.KS> rose 3.8 percent and Woori Finance Holdings <053000.KS> gained 4.27 percent.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index <.KS11> was up 1.03 percent at 1,033.49 points as of 0005 GMT.
