Acupuncture to save Joey Yung
Channel NewsAsia - Tuesday, December 2
Joey Yung injured her ankle at a performance in the USA/Canada region two months ago. Her Shanghai concert scheduled for Nov 29 is thus postponed to Christmas Eve. Yung says she is taking this chance to recuperate her health. "I went through a thorough checkup and the doctor says my knees and back are badly damaged. If I do not nurse them now, I may have to be spend old age on a wheelchair. I am currently nursing my leg injury and the damages I've accumulated in my body for the past nine years."
Yung says she is undergoing acupuncture every day now and should recover fully in a month's time.
"As an artiste, we have to dance frequently. The vigorous impact damages the ligament. Staying up too frequently is bad for health too," she says.
She reveals that a Chinese physician has diagnosed that her body condition now is that of a person over 30 years old. Yung says her mum will brew tonics for her and she is also heeding the doctor's advice to stop training for a month.
Despite succeeding in her career, Yung has no developments on her love life. She reveals that she has not fallen in love since stepping into the entertainment business nine years ago.
"I have not been spending time on building a relationship and it is absolutely right that I'm not marrying yet," she exclaims.
In a relationship, she seeks absolute security. "I need the person to pick up the phone when I call at any time!"
She also reveals to have once turned an ex-boyfriend's house upside down when she learnt of his affair with another girl.
