Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

A low pressure trough will drive most weather in eastern Asia on Monday as it moves off the east coast of the continent towards the East China Sea and Sea of Japan. Cool rain showers are likely throughout the Sea of Japan and southern Japan and light snow is possible in northern China.
The trough will pull cold air down from Siberia into northern China and eastern Mongolia and the northern part of central China and spread eastward through Japan and into the Pacific Ocean.
Tokyo will see a high in the lower 50s(F)/lower 10s(C), while Shanghai will be in the mid-50s(F)/lower 10s(C). Seoul will rise into the mid-40s(F)/upper 0s(C).
A long, arching cold front will stretch through the Tasman Sea and onto the east coast of Australia bringing rain and thunderstorms to the Brisbane area with additional showers likely inland in sparsely populated areas.
Sydney will see a high in the upper 60s(F)/lower 20s(C), while Melbourne will see temperatures in the upper 60s(F)/lower 20s(C). Brisbane will rise into the lower 70s(F)/lower 20s(C).
