Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

Wet weather is expected over Japan on Sunday. Heavy rainfall is expected across most of the country, although the higher elevations over Hokkaido will see snow during the day.
A strong high pressure system will bring mostly clear skies to northern and most of central China, as well as Mongolia on Sunday.
Farther south, southern China and Southeast Asia can expect scattered showers throughout the day.
In Australia, Tropical Cyclone Billy is expected to cut across the northeastern portion of West Australia during the day on Sunday. This storm will dump heavy rain over both this region and the northern portion of the Northern Territory during the day, and Darwin could see a substantial amount of rain.
Elsewhere, a weak trough could kick up a few clouds and showers across the middle portion of the continent Sunday, while onshore flow will produce showers to the northwest of Brisbane. The rest of Australia can expect mostly to partly cloudy skies and mild to hot temperatures.
