US senator on four—day visit to Singapore

SINGAPORE : US Senator Jim Webb, who is on a visit to Singapore from December 19—22, called on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew on Friday.
During the meeting, they discussed the global financial crisis and developments in the region.
Senator Webb was hosted to lunch by Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean.
Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo will also host Senator Webb to lunch on Saturday. — CNA/ms
