ShareThis June 9, 2010 8:40 p.m. EST Topics: music, entertainment, arts, culture and entertainment, United States Anthony Jones - AHN Entertainment Reporter Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - Jack Johnson went all the way to the top with the release of his new album, "To the Sea," earning him his third #1 album on the Billboard albums chart. “To the Sea” sells 243,000 copies in its first week for the top spot. It’s his first album since 2008’s “Sleep Through the Static,” which also debuted at #1 (his third was the “Curious George” soundtrack). Justin Bieber climbs up to #2 this week with “My World 2.0” moving 52,000 copies this week. At #3 is last week’s #1, “Glee—The Music Volume 3: Showstoppers” soundtrack. It moves another 45,000 copies this week. Unmoved from last week are Lady Antebellum at #4 with “Need You Now” selling 41,000 copies, Usher at #5 with “Raymond V. Raymond” selling 35,000 copies, and Lady Gaga at #6 moving another 33,000 copies of “The Fame.” Moving up to #7 this week are Carole King and James Taylor with their live set, “Live at the Troubadour.” The album moves 25,000 copies in its fifth week on the chart. At #8 is Taio Cruz with the debut of his U.S. album, “Rokkstar.” The album, which features his #1 single “Break Your Heart” with Ludacris and the follow-up “Dirty Picture” with Ke$ha, moves 24,000 copies. At #9 is a debut from Clay Aiken with “Tried & True,” a collection of covers of popular standards, his fifth top 10 album on the char. “Tried & True” moves 22,000 copies its first week. By comparison, his last album “On My Way Here” debuted with 94,000 copies. At #10 is Ke$ha, moving up seven slots, to round out the top 10 on the strength of singles “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Tik Tok,” and “Blah Blah Blah.” “Animal,” her debut album, moves another 20,000 copies this week.
