SINGAPORE : Police have smashed an unlicensed optical disc syndicate in an island—wide operation and arrested 11 people on Thursday.
The five men and six women are between 23 and 59 years old.
In the 22—hour operation, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department raided locations in Bedok and Bukit Batok.
They seized over 12,300 digital video discs containing obscene films, 176 cartons of dutiable cigarettes, 18 colour printers, six high—speed CD—R burners, 50,000 blank DVD—Rs, 20,000 inlays and about S$6,000 in cash.
