India urges Pakistan to follow up recent raids
AP - Friday, December 12
NEW DELHI - India's foreign minister is urging Pakistan to completely dismantle terrorist operations in the country after recent arrests and raids in the wake of the Mumbai attacks.
Thursday's comments from Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee mark India's first formal response to Pakistan's move this week to arrest terrorist suspects.
Mukherjee called on Pakistan to follow up its actions "with the complete dismantling of the infrastructure facilities" operated by suspected terrorist groups in the country. He delivered his remarks in a speech to Parliament.
Officials say 10 suspected Muslim militants trained in Pakistan carried out last month's deadly siege on India's financial capital. Some 171 people died.
